Cosmetic Dentistry

First impressions are lasting impressions. In fact, many adults say that a smile is the most memorable feature on someone they first meet. Cosmetic dentistry are dental procedures performed to improve your smile. It can also help boost your confidence and self-esteem. While you may not get a second chance at a first impression, you can have a second chance at a beautiful smile!

Composite Fillings

A composite filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture that is used to restore decayed teeth. These can also be used to improve the aesthetics of a smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping a disfigured tooth. We shape and smooth the filling to ensure that your tooth retains its authentic look and feel. Patients should be prepared to notice some temporary temperature sensitivity for a period of time after fillings are done.

A dental crown works in a variety of ways. A crown strengthens a tooth, covers and protects a broken tooth, prevents teeth with large fillings from fracturing, and helps hold a dental bridge in place. A crown is a porcelain covering that is placed over the tooth surface, restoring strength and appearance. Crowns are needed in instances such as when a composite filling is not enough to give tooth proper structure, to fix fractures, or lend support for bridges.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is also known as a fixed partial denture. This false tooth is set between two crowns, “bridging” the gap caused by one or more missing teeth. The false tooth is made of solid porcelain.

Lumineers

Lumineers are custom-made like traditional porcelain veneers to fit each individual’s mouth. They are designed to give you a beautiful, natural smile. However, unlike traditional veneers, Lumineers do not require any shots, drilling, or pain. And, most importantly, because no enamel is removed from the teeth Lumineers are reversible!

Porcelain Veneers

This cosmetic dentistry procedure consists of wafer-thin shells of tooth-colored material that are individually placed over the surface of the tooth. Each custom-made shell is bonded to the front of the tooth, which completely changes the appearance, color, shape, size, or length. Porcelain veneers are designed to resist stains better than other types of veneers and appear more natural because they better mimic the way light naturally reflects off the surface of teeth. Veneers will usually last between 8-10 years before they will need to be replaced.

Teeth Whitening

Over time and abuse to your teeth such as smoking, drinking coffee and other dark beverages and normal wear and tear, teeth may lose their luster and begin to appear yellowed or stained. Tooth whitening is a safe option to bring back your sparkling smile.
