Replace Missing Teeth With Dental Implants

Dental implants are used to replace teeth that have been lost due to accident, injury, disease, or tooth decay. Through a surgical procedure, these implants are placed directly into the jaw bone. Implants replace teeth, but also relieve pain, restore chewing ability and improve facial tissues in the process. They are natural looking, secure and durable, and are long lasting.

Dental implant surgery is performed in our Red Bank dental office. Our highly skilled dentists, Dr. Allan Ruda and Dr. Beth DeAngeles, will first meet with you to discuss the procedure, costs, and how to care for the implant. Once all of your questions have been answered and you are comfortable with moving forward with the procedure, a date will be set for the surgery.

On the day of the surgery, the dental implant will be put into place. This implant is a small piece of titanium that is planted firmly in the jawbone and acts as a “root.” Within three to six months, the implant will become fused with the jaw bone and be able to hold the entire structure in place.

Once your implant has been surgically implanted and fully healed, you will have a new prosthetic crown that is virtually indistinguishable from a real tooth. In addition to a natural appearance, it will also function just like a real tooth. Unlike dentures or fixed bridges, a dental implant actually provides stimulation to the jawbone and gum tissue that is necessary to prevent the deterioration of these structures. Given these factors, our dental team recommends this procedure as the best long-term solution to replace missing teeth.

With proper care and maintenance, your implant will never need to be replaced.
